Dr. Metcalf has spent more than 20 years on one thing: non-surgical treatment for disc problems, sciatica and spinal stenosis. He has supervised more than 65,000 treatment visits, enough to know which patients respond, which do not, and how to tell the difference at the first visit.
He sees every new patient himself, reviews your imaging with you, and tells you straight whether spinal decompression is right for you. If it is, he lays out a plan. If it is not, he says so.
How he works
The exam comes first and the recommendation comes second, in writing. You find out whether you are a candidate at the first visit. If you are not, he tells you and points you to the right place. If you have a physician, a physical therapist or a pain specialist, you keep them: they receive a summary after your first visit if you would like, and you stay their patient.
